The Lodge
Heritage Residence Transformation
Built in 1920, the Wynnum Masonic Lodge has recently been transformed into a high-end luxury residence, and Keid In Electrical was engaged to completely modernise the electrical system throughout the historic building. The original structure still contained unsafe, outdated wiring, old VIR cabling, obsolete fittings and ageing switchgear, so we carried out a full electrical strip-out to safely remove every old circuit and component while preserving the heritage architecture.
Once cleared, we completed a full rewire of the entire property, installing a brand-new main switchboard, modern safety switches, dedicated circuits, updated earthing and new cabling to meet current Australian electrical standards. To complement the home’s architectural features, we designed and installed premium LED lighting—including wall sconces, feature lighting on the mezzanine levels, integrated kitchen task lighting and the striking backlit stone island bench that now stands as a centrepiece. All switches, outlets, USB charging points, smoke alarms and smart wiring were upgraded to high-quality modern fittings to match the luxury finish of the renovation.
We also installed the full electrical supply and dedicated circuits for the new air-conditioning systems, ensuring efficient operation without compromising the building’s heritage framework. The result is a complete electrical transformation that brings a century-old building safely into the modern era—combining historic character with contemporary performance, efficiency and comfort.
